Choose to be treated as an individual.

For many guests, a cruise on our unique small ships is the fulfilment of a long-held dream where, in an age when travel is designed for the masses, they are treated as individuals.

The Hebridean Difference.

To fully understand what Hebridean stands for, put out of your mind all modern connotations of the word “cruise” and the glitzy décor usually associated with cruise ships.  Instead, imagine yourself in congenial company in an environment of comfort and understated luxury.  Travelling with Hebridean is more akin to being a guest on a private yacht or an elegant country house.

“Unique”. No other word will suffice.

Accommodating just 96 and 48 guests respectively, Hebridean Spirit and Hebridean Princess are both a world apart. From Norway to the southern coast of India, or around the sublime western and northern isles of Scotland, our itineraries, created in-house by our route researchers, are amongst the finest privately organised tours in the world; the prerogative of travellers who are also free spirits with an appreciation of the stimulating and the unusual.  Dramatic mountain landscapes, lush green coastlines, intriguing, uninhabited islands, fascinating private houses and gardens not open to the general public – these are locations a lifetime away from the well beaten tourist track.

Instead of loud and intrusive mass entertainment, we have guest speakers who are erudite, well-informed, and often, amusing. Many are well-known personalities who have enjoyed distinguished careers in their field and can add an interesting dimension to your holiday.

In a similar vein, the service is from an almost forgotten era when the word meant so much more.  On each ship our crew numbers almost match those of the guests and every member is specially selected and trained to be discreet yet attentive, and to anticipate your every request. No detail is too small to command their attention.

A reputation for culinary excellence.

We are justifiably proud of the superb cuisine served on board our ships.  Our chefs are renowned for their skill, flair and imagination; the ingredients are chosen from the freshest and finest available and local produce is used wherever possible. Fine wine is chosen with care to compliment your food.

An all-inclusive tariff.

Whilst Hebridean’s cruises are not for those who “…know the price of everything and the value of nothing”, our tariff includes all meals, house wines, spirits and champagne, all Privately Escorted Tours, transfers, gratuities and for Hebridean Spirit, return flights between the UK and the ship. Our genuinely all-inclusive tariff only adds to the relaxed and congenial atmosphere you will find on board.

Hebridean’s cruises quickly become addictive.

Once you have experienced a Hebridean cruise, like so many of our guests, you will want to return time and again.  We welcome back over half of the people who travel with us, many on a regular basis.

Hebridean Spirit

Accommodating just 96 guests, this elegant and contemporary ship cruises year round to some of the world’s most enthralling destinations, many of which are inaccessible to larger, populist cruise ships. Each of her itineraries is created in-house by our own highly experienced researchers, whose brief is to capture the cultural essence and historical significance of each port of call. From the magical beauty of the Mediterranean, Black and Red seas, to the exciting discoveries which awaits guests within the Indian Ocean and along the coastline of South Africa. Hebridean Spirit will take you on a journey of understanding and insight into the heart of diverse cultures and breathtaking scenery.

Hebridean Princess

Hebridean Princess has been setting the benchmark for luxury cruising in the UK since 1989. Possibly the world’s smallest luxury cruise ship, Hebridean Princess carries just 49 discerning guests as she explores the dramatic coastline of highland Scotland, the breathtaking Western Isles and the remarkable Norwegian Fjords. Like her sister ship, the widely varying itineraries created for Hebridean Princess are carefully planned to ensure access to off-the-beaten-track destinations out of reach to other cruise ships. These include her ever-popular ‘Footloose’ selection of walking holidays. Often likened to a ‘country house afloat’ this ship is so special that 65% of all guests are return visitors, early bookings for each season, running from March through to November, are advisable.
